faq
-
How does crumble work? crumble reads a command to
play a song from rvrb and uses
the MusicKit on the Web
API to find the best match on Apple Music, then plays it.
-
Do I still need a Spotify account? YES. You need one to log into
rvrb.
-
Do I still need a paid Spotify account? My testing indicates that
you do not. If you run into any problems using a free Spotify account
with crumble please email me
at crumble@goterkyourself.com with as much
detail as possible and I'll try to fix the problem.
-
Do I need an Apple Music+ account? YES. You've gotta
pay someone to stream full tracks. I don't make the rules.
-
Does every song work? No, crumble sometimes can't find a "good
enough" match to what's playing on rvrb. When this happens, please email the contents of the
javascript console
to crumble@goterkyourself.com and I'll try to
improve the matching heuristic.
-
Where can I use crumble? crumble is currently
distributed as a browser extension. It's developed and tested against Google Chrome at the
moment. It might work with other browsers or in other environments but you're on you're own if
you decide to try that out.
installing crumble
The easiest way to install crumble is
from the
Chrome Web Store. In Chrome:
Follow that
link, click "Add to Chrome", and once the extension is added, reload rvrb.
Instructions for installing manually are still available here.
